How to Get from Vienna Airport to JKU Linz

Step 1: From Vienna Airport to Vienna Main Station

1. ÖBB Railjet:
• Take the ÖBB Railjet directly from Vienna Airport (station: "Flughafen Wien").
• Travel time: approximately 15 minutes.
• Destination: Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof).

Note: The Railjet departs regularly from Vienna Airport and is a convenient and fast connection. Most trains run directly to Linz without requiring a transfer.

Step 2: From Vienna Main Station to Linz Main Station

1. ÖBB Railjet or Intercity Train:
• From Vienna Main Station, ÖBB Railjet or Intercity trains run regularly to Linz Main Station.
• Travel time: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes.
• Destination: Linz Main Station (Linz Hauptbahnhof).

Step 3: From Linz Main Station to JKU Linz

1. Tram (Line 1 or Line 2):
• From Linz Main Station (the tram station is located underground), take tram line 1 or 2 in the direction of "Universität".
• Travel time: approximately 20 minutes.
• Destination: "Universität" final stop.

• Total travel time: approx. 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes (depending on connections).

Step 1: From Salzburg Airport to Salzburg Main Station

1. Bus Line 2:

• Take bus line 2 from Salzburg Airport (stop: "Salzburg Airport") in the direction of "Salzburg Hauptbahnhof" (Salzburg Main Station).
• Travel time: approximately 20 minutes.
• Destination: Salzburg Main Station.

Alternative:

• You can also use a taxi or shuttle service, which is faster but more expensive.

Step 2: From Salzburg Main Station to Linz Main Station
