About the Organising Committee
Besides the School's research expertise, its home city also represents an ideal place for the Colloquium. Portsmouth, a waterfront city, is not only the home of a Top 10 Young University in the UK, but it is also the home of many retail-oriented businesses, including a premium factory outlet (Gunwharf Quays), a waterside leisure destination (Port Solent), prominent museums (e.g., Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, The Mary Rose, Charles Dickens' Birthplace museum, etc.) Moreover, Portsmouth has recently been named the 2nd best place to live in the UK (read more on Hamsphire Live).
